San Francisco is an amazing place, it’s got so many cool things to do and so many spectacular things to see. In our first few days here Abz and I have already done so many things!! So far we’ve become Golden Gate gals 🌁, Union Square Sistas 🏙, Chinatown chums ⛩, LGBT ladies 🏳️🌈, and we’re half way to becoming cable car chicks 🚃!!
On our first official day here we ended up walking down to the Castro Disrict, also known as the LGBT quarter, which was pretty cool. There were pride flags everywhere (even on the roads instead of a crossing), some fancy looking bars, and a few interesting looking shops.
In the evening we walked over to Union Square in search of a cheese cake factory for dinner. Sadly the one we found was incredibly busy so we decided to grab a burger at a Burger Bar, which also happened to be in Macy’s. The food was pretty delicious and the view was amazing!!
Day number two was a little more on the active side, thanks to a good nights sleep. We started off the day with some make your own pancakes 🥞 (which were pretty good for our first attempt!) and then we headed out on our trip to the Golden Gate Bridge. This meant we had to brave the busses of San Fran, and thankfully it was actually pretty straightforward!
Seeing the bridge was pretty amazing but the view from it was spectacular!! Abby and I spent about 3 hours waking across to Marin County (and Vista Point) and back again, and it was definitely worth it (even with the wind)!!
Today was a little more chilled with the sightseeing after yesterday’s walking around although we ended up doing a lot of hill climbing!! We decided to trek our way up the hills of San Francisco so we could visit the Cable Car museum and so we could find the car-cable car crash crossroads from the princess diaries. Both of which were pretty fun. To round off our cable car themed day we decided to finish with drinks at Sam’s Cable Car Lounge, they were delicious!!
Until next time,
